Updates
Jackson Kenneth Simon passed peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Jack departed this earth knowing he is deeply loved and surrounded by people who truly loved Jack. Jack’s best friends for life filled him up with love and memories. They made sure Jack knew how much he is valued and loved. They came to Phoenix over the last few weeks of his life to honor and fill up his being with that love. Best friends from grade school through college, trips abroad, work and life sent messages to Jack.
Ameer, Michael, Eric and Johnston distracted Jack and helped him focus on something fun in the midst of hell.
Chase, Ryan and Hannah brought much needed respite and all their love exactly when it was needed most. Sharing moments spontaneously recorded throughout Jacks life. Joyful, heart warming and heart breaking. His spirit captured for eternity.
Reed, Revy and Scott added their voices filling Jack’s room full of tears and laughter for Jack to listen to and enjoy. Taylor, Ben, and Alex brought their great love and support for Jack to Phoenix, too.
We are grateful for everyones contribution to Jack’s life.
We lost a genuine spark rarely seen or felt in our everyday lives. Jack naturally brought his warmth and love of life to each being he met.
We find comfort knowing the hundreds of people Jack touched knew his genuine, kind and loving spirit and loved him too. If you would like to share some photos of Jack you can email them to jacksimonfoundation@gmail.com
Love to all,
Jacks family.
Update October 28th
Jack is hanging in there. He is still being treated in the neural trauma PCU. Ups and downs are standard course right now. On the good days he charms his medical team with his wit and continued drive. This has been extremely hard work for Jack.
Jack just finished his 3rd round of his chemo treatment, he has 3 more to go. These drugs completely exhaust him, but he’s fighting. We will have a more detailed update in the near future. We apologize for the delay in the updates, this has been quite surreal. As of right now we are staying the course and hoping the chemo improves Jacks condition. Were taking it one day at a time right now and Jack has been resting as he listens to the world series.
Thank you to everyone who helped donate to Jacks cause, it will help tremendously with his recovery and it is truly remarkable how many people love our Jack.
We appreciate all the prayers and love sent Jack’s way. Keep them coming!
Update September 14th
I wanted to update everyone on Jack.
First off we want to say thank you to every that has been supporting Jack, we all really appreciate it. Please keep sending messages Jack is getting closer and closer to being able to read them.
Jack started chemo on Wednesday, and had a two and a half hour round of chemo for 3 days in a row. He is extremely tired but it seems like it went okay. He is pushing himself to stand and try and walk. He was able to get lifted into a chair 2 days ago and was able to sit in the chair for 4 hours, and was able to do the same thing yesterday.
His physical therapists are getting him standing and initiating him walking and very impressed with his effort and will. His speech therapist is making huge progress with Jack . Jack is starting to speak sentences. His vision has improved. We’re waiting to hear rehab plans and will let you know when we’re closer to getting him out of the hospital.
We are trying to keep Jack in the hospital for as long as possible to ensure his recovery gets the best care possible, but as most of you know health insurance companies want to get patients out of the hospital as soon as possible even if they still need hospital quality care and not a rehab facility. We will know in the next few days if they are going to let Jack stay or be moved to a rehab facility which we feel is way too soon for his recovery.
